MOOYAH Keying in on the Keystone State with September 27th Opening
Customizable Burger Franchise Opens First Pennsylvania Location in Dickson City
DICKSON CITY, PA. – MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, a fast casual, “better burger” chain, is entering its 19th state with its new location in Dickson City. The restaurant, opening on September 27th, will be located at 1249 Commerce Blvd.
John Valerio, an experienced restaurateur who owns Two Guys from Italy in Honesdale, is responsible for bringing the brand to Dickson City, MOOYAH’s first in the state of Pennsylvania. With a background in restaurant ownership, Valerio knew immediately that MOOYAH was the perfect fit for his next venture.
“I had gone to a location in New Jersey to try MOOYAH for myself,” said Valerio. “I just loved it and knew it was a great opportunity and fit for Dickson City.”
The Dickson City MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes opens Wednesday, September 27th and already Valerio says he is not ruling out additional area expansion once he gets the first restaurant up and running and gauges the early success.
Dickson City is just the start when it comes to MOOYAH’s growth in Pennsylvania, as the brand also recently signed Montgomery County’s Jin Lee as its first Philadelphia franchisee. With Dickson City and Philadelphia already in motion, MOOYAH is well-positioned to expand throughout the state, with its sights set on building out Pittsburgh, Allentown, Scranton, Bethlehem, Lancaster, Harrisburg, State College, Wilkes-Barre, Norristown and Chester.
“We are thrilled with how well MOOYAH has been received in Pennsylvania,” said Michael Mabry, president and chief operating officer of MOOYAH. “John already has the Dickson City community buzzing about Wednesday’s opening, and with Philadelphia on the horizon, the sky is the limit for our growth in Pennsylvania. We look forward to finding the right franchise partners to help us grow the brand throughout the state.”
At MOOYAH, Guests have the advantage of choosing from a variety of bun options, such as baked-in-house artisan potato or multigrain wheat non-GMO buns and hand-crafted lettuce buns called Iceburgers to accompany the never-frozen 100 percent Certified Angus Beef® brand burgers, all natural Jennie-O turkey, all natural grilled and hand-breaded chicken, and mouthwatering MorningStar Farms® black bean veggie burgers.
